When you get solid that means your surge has been detected and you will most likely ovulate at some point within the next 48 hours. So I would say ... I have been using the clearblue advanced ovulation tests. They show an empty circle for not ovulating and not fertile which i got day 1 of using. Than day 2 and so on ive been getting the flashing smiley face which means peak .. there is also a 3rd smiley that determines high but i havent got that yet. Today makes day 5 of the flashing smiley!

So make sure on the day you do your first ovulation test with your new tester you Test twice with same urine. Once you get a flashing smiley it will stay a flashing smiley every test till you get a solid smiley.
